     Lynn M. Rome, 65, of Peoria, passed away at 10:51 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012, at home.
     Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home in Peoria, with Pastor Mike Shirey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
     Lynn was born in Chicago on January 19, 1947, a daughter of Erwin H. and Lolita R. (Immekus) Rome. They preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Janis Adams of Peoria.
     She graduated from Maine West High School in Des Plaines in 1965. She later graduated from Midstate College in Peoria.
     Lynn retired in 2004 as an Area Supervisor for Title Cash of Illinois in Peoria. She was a former member of AMVETS Post 64 in Peoria, served as an Election Judge, and made toys for the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and the Salvation Army. She also enjoyed crocheting, crafts, watching Chicago Cubs baseball and NASCAR racing, and playing Bingo.
     In spite of many serious health problems, she lived her life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. She loved being around people and making new friends.
     Lynn will be greatly missed by her friends, neighbors, and all who knew her, especially her “little sister”, but she is with the Lord now and is at peace.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s memory to the American Diabetes Association or to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS).
